Trveheimer Melodic, driven hymns and Excellent melody progressions make this record fromt he Dutch Black Metal Outfit stand out. Not a single boring moment, some fresh ideas and a transparent sound all while still being oldschool in its core.

Wallow Within I agree with the comparison with Behexen. A lot actually. I'd go as far as saying that Afrodisiacum Der Vroomheid mostly does for me what the Poisonous Path couldn't. I was disappointed, but I think that Orewoet don't have to be feared to be listed among the great, old Black Metal artists. This sounds more old school than most actual old school BM records and is better made than 99% of the current wave BM releases.

The debut recording from Orewoet is out now on CD and LP in conspiracy between Heidens Hart and Amor Fati. Orewoet executes with rough old school black that is easily on-par with the strongest outputs of Baptism, Horna, Behexen and Satanic Warmaster. The "Afrodisiacum der vroomheid" EP features five lengthy tracks (six on the LP) of pure black art with epic and aggressive melodies. The band played their first show at this years' Veneration Of The Dead, The Netherlands' leading black metal festival, and laid a shroud of undivine darkness upon the masses. No gimmicks, no bullshit, only pure black metal devotion.

Melodic, almost pagan black metal out of Iceland with some of the most aggressive vocals I've heard in the genre. It's balls to the walls from the first note with few respites, but its melodic enough to not overstay its welcome. Jeff Wilson
