Kraahl There's truly something special about the Black Metal of the 90's. There was a feeling that I get from the earlier bands that I can not really capture from today's bands, with all due respects. "Darkened Destiny" truly has that forgotten formula that made Black Metal truly magical and mysterious back then. It's dusty, cavernous, and completely no-frills when it comes down to it, and perhaps part of this can account for that special feeling of earlier Black Metal. Either way, I recommend this to any fan of the genre, if not to enjoy, to hear how Black Metal was properly done back then! Favorite track: Fight 'till death.

Dark, midtempo black metal from The Netherlands, originally recorded at the end of the 90s. Released by Damnation Records only on vinyl LP format in 2001, this is a totally underrated Dutch cult album which stayed hard to find. Now it's finally resurrected on tape (Heidens Hart Records) and CD (New Era Productions). Audio imperfections from the original audio master have not been fixed digitally! CD and tape reissued in 2014 with front cover slightly reworked as it was meant to have been. A must for fanatics of Celtic Frost / Hellhammer, old Carpathian Forest and Funeral Winds.
