lyrics
Lyk as Kaïn dy't út 'e kweade wier;
syn broer deasloech
Om't syn wirken rjuchtfeardich wierne
en syn broer sines forkeard
Forwûnderje jimme net, o broerren, as de kosmos hatet
Wy witte dat wy oergien binne út 'e dea yn it libben,
om't wy de broerren deaslaen
Dy't 'e broer net deaslacht bliuwt yn 'e dea
In elts dy't syn broer hatet in in moardner
en jimme witte dat yn in moardner it ivige libben wennet
Lyk as Kaïn dy't út 'e kweade wier;
syn broer deasloech
Om't syn wirken rjuchtfeardich wierne
en syn broer sines forkeard
Forwûnderje jimme net, o broerren, as de kosmos hatet
Wy witte dat wy oergien binne út 'e dea yn it libben
om't wy de broerren deaslaen
Dy't 'e broer net deaslacht bliuwt yn 'e dea
Wy witte dat wy oergien binne út 'e dea yn it libben
Lit ús haet hawwe!
Net mei it wird of mei de tonge
mar mei de died en yn wiisheid
Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli
Melodic, almost pagan black metal out of Iceland with some of the most aggressive vocals I've heard in the genre. It's balls to the walls from the first note with few respites, but its melodic enough to not overstay its welcome. Jeff Wilson
